The Congress of the Peoples of Russia will be held online in Udmurtia

As part of the events in honor of the 100th anniversary of the statehood of Udmurtia, the International Forum of Friendship Houses and the Congress of the Peoples of Russia will be held on October 8 9. This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic. It is planned that the event, which will be held in the online format, will be attended by representatives of friendship houses of peoples, houses of nationalities, centers of national cultures, resource centers in the field of national relations of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, representatives of the authorities of these countries. In the program of the congress, a plenary session and panel discussions will be held, where successful practices in the field of state national policy will be presented. The discussion platforms will be moderated by leading experts at the federal and regional levels in the field of interethnic relations. The modern development of state national policy requires us not only to hear and listen to each other, but also to know and adopt the successful practices of Russian regions and our colleagues from abroad, said the Minister of National Policy of the Republic Larisa Buranova. She added that Udmurtia will present at the forum successful projects and its experience over a more than 25-year period of systematic and focused work. According to the news agency, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the statehood of the republic, which is celebrated this year, a new two-volume Russian-Udmurt dictionary was issued in January. The authors were able to expand the dictionary by attracting modern colloquial vocabulary and professional terminology in such areas as business life, science, politics, finance and economics, as well as due to archaic and outdated vocabulary, which again began to be used in our time. The new collection was based on the 1956 Russian-Udmurt dictionary. In the summer, scientists at the Udmurt Institute of History, Language and Literature of UdmFITS UrO RAS said they were working on creating a translator from the Udmurt language, which will work on the basis of neural network technology.
