All urban areas of all cities of district significance of Gansu province in northwestern China are currently covered by 5G communication networks, Xinhua News Agency reported on September 7. According to the China Mobile branch in Gansu province, in the most populated urban areas of the county level of the province, access to new networks has also appeared. Since the authorities accelerated the construction of fifth-generation communications networks a year ago, the development of 5G in the region has gone in several directions at once, including smart cities, smart hospitals, unmanned driving and unmanned mining, the company said. It is also noted that 5G technology can not only offer users the convenience of fast download speed, but also allows them to get intelligent services in their daily lives. According to the China Tower branch in Gansu province, to date, 8,536 5G stations have been built in the province.
