In the Sea of Azov, Russian border guards caught Ukrainian poachers


Russian border guards detained a poaching vessel with four Ukrainian citizens on board in the western part of the Sea of Azov. This is today, February 15, the press service of the Crimean Border Administration of the Federal Security Service of Russia reports. According to border guards, the captain of the poaching ship did not comply with the legal requirement of the border order to stop and attempted to escape. Then the poaching vessel was stopped. On board, the border guards found more than 290 copies of kalkan galleys, as well as an illegal fishing gear, by poachers. There were no ship and registration documents on board the ship. The crew of the ship did not have identity documents or permits to catch aquatic biological resources. The ship and the detained citizens of Ukraine were taken to the port of Kerchi for further proceedings.
