Fire in hostel in Kazakhstan: carbon monoxide poisoned four people


120 people were evacuated due to a fire in one of the apartments of a five-storey hostel in Kokchetava, the press service of the Department of Emergency Situations of Akmola region of Kazakhstan reported. Department specified that the fire happened on February 17 at 2 hours 10 minutes (on February 16 23:30 Moscow time) on the fourth floor of the hostel. Rescue workers evacuated 120 people, including 25 children. Four people were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning. It is noted that in the apartment where the fire broke out, there was a conflict between a man and a woman. Before the arrival of the firefighters, the doctors hospitalized the cohabitants with stab wounds. 35-year-old men died of their wounds in hospital.
