Iran's industrial cities attract $2 billion in foreign investment per year
Official statistics released by Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade show that the country's industrial cities attracted 231 large foreign investors worth $2.1 billion last Iranian year, which ended March 20. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Investments created 19,862 additional jobs in industrial regions and cities. According to statistics, 1,100 industrial facilities export in the amount of $12.64 billion per year. As part of the state support plan for small and medium-sized enterprises in the regions, 62 export-oriented companies (EOC) were recognized and 72 export consortia were created. Statistics also show that in the same year, small and medium-sized companies signed 23 agreements with various districts on joint cooperation, which also positively affected the economic development of the country.
