Japanese Foreign Ministry named the countries from which it will be possible to enter the country
The first countries from which entry into Japan will be allowed will be Thailand and Vietnam, said Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi during a press conference, Kyodo news agency reported. According to him, it was originally planned to allow entry from two more countries of Australia and New Zealand. However, these States are still negotiating with each other on the opening of borders, considering this a higher priority. Motegi emphasized that an agreement on the opening of borders has already been reached with Vietnam. He added that the removal of restrictions will take place partially and gradually, but will not take much time. According to the news agency, on June 15, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said that the Japanese government is not yet ready to lift restrictions on entry into the country due to the threat of the spread of a new type of coronavirus. He added that so far the Japanese authorities are only studying this issue, taking into account the current epidemiological situation.
