The author of Screen Rant, Michael Kennedy, pointed to a hole in the story of producer, actor and director Jordan Peel Away. Kennedy noted that it was an excellent film that received praise from critics, was a commercial success and won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, but he was also unable to avoid the problems of big projects. According to the author of the article, Rose Armitage's behavior in the film, which prey on black victims for his abnormal family, is illogical, as it cannot be explained why a girl needs to go through a long process of building relationships with young people every time instead of directly kidnapping them immediately after dating.
