In Ukraine police will control transport restrictions

The police will monitor the implementation of all transport restrictions imposed by the Government of Ukraine on March 17, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko said on March 18 on the air of one of the TV channels. He noted that transport restrictions are a difficult decision, but, Gerashchenko added, the authorities are doing so to stop the coronavirus epidemic. The most important thing is to stop the spread of the virus. The most dangerous place for infection is public transport, said the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, the police have all the leverage to control the situation. We warn all owners of passenger transport, they are obliged to work according to the law, the security forces noted. The news agency recalls that according to the decision of the Government, the metro is closed in Ukraine, and urban transportation can be carried out if there are up to 10 people in shuttle taxis, trolleybuses, buses and trams. Many experts immediately wondered how such restrictions could be put into practice.
